TRS has been proudly serving the Texas and Oklahoma area for 18 years.
An out of sight out of mind approach to routine roofing maintenance can prove costly. TRS’ maintenance plans can extend the life of your roof.
Texas offers some of the most inclement weather on the globe. Couple this with record high heat waves and soaring humidity levels, a roofing system, regardless of type, is certain to deteriorate quickly under these harsh conditions.
Homeowners should also take into consideration that the majority of warranties offered by shingle manufacturers are contingent upon routine maintenance inspections which, if not performed, can render the manufacturers warranty obsolete.
Another vital concern homeowners must take into account is that, aside form catastrophic flooding, a roofing system is the only part of the home that can be impacted by water intrusion. Water penetrating your homes first line of defense, be it from whatever leak source, has far reaching implications and invariably leads to expensive and unfavorable outcomes for the homeowner.
Homeowners, in an effort to save money, typically purchase Actual Cash Value policies which have lower premiums than their counter-part Replacement Cost Value Policies. In an ACV policy, depreciation is subtracted using the “age of the lost item” and the amount of “wear and tear” the item has sustained while in your possession. For example, if your roof was five years old and in that time you have not performed routine maintenance checks, and file a hail claim that gets approved, your insurer will factor in the age and condition and wear and tear of the roof and then subtract those costs along with our deductible form the overall amount needed to complete the repairs.
The bottom line is, unless you have proper documentation or proof that your roof was routinely inspected and deficiencies corrected, your insurer will likely not pay anywhere near the amount it will take to replace the entire roof, leaving you to come out of pocket for those costly expenses!
The most effective way to prevent your roof from breaking down prematurely is through regular ongoing maintenance. Ongoing roof maintenance ensures that your home’s roofing system will remain optimal and, as a result, keep your family safe, dry and comfortable for many years to come. Routine maintenance also ensures that you will not have to worry about unexpected leaks springing up during a thunderstorm or mold secretly growing and spreading in your attic, nor your insurer de-valuing your roof to pennies on the dollar when it comes to filing a roof claim. Regular maintenance solves all these nasty issues, and offers you the peace of mind that your family and home are safe and protected.
